About Me
“I am committed to advancing the aspirations of our people through strategic leadership, cultural integrity, and a strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. With broad governance experience and expertise in Māori engagement, policy development, sport and event management, and relationship management across public and private sectors, I bring cultural knowledge and strategic insight to support positive and enduring outcomes. My governance and professional background spans financial management, policy and procedural development, annual planning, scholarships, housing, social services, crisis management, and labour market initiatives. I have also contributed to sport and community development through the Aotearoa Māori Netball Oranga Healthy Lifestyles kaupapa and board service with Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Manawatū, Tū Toa Charitable Trust, Tai Wānanga, Manukura Establishment Boards, the Iuventus–Highbury Community Centre, and currently the Visions of a Helping Hand Charitable Trust. I offer proven experience in crisis management and interagency collaboration, including the development of regional systems for health and wellbeing support and ensuring business continuity during the pandemic and environmental disruptions. These experiences reinforce my ability to govern effectively, build enduring relationships, and uphold culturally grounded, future-focused leadership.”
