About Me
“I am an Executive Producer and Programmer with a penchant for events, festivals, socially-engaged performance and site-specific projects, largely within the arts space. I thrive on the variation of projects that I work on and the many cultures I get to work with. I currently lead WORD Christchurch, a festival and event organisation in Christchurch, New Zealand, where we are broadening the festival to celebrate words in all of their forms/genres/artforms. I was at Auckland Arts Festival in the programming team for 4.5 years until April 2023, where I predominantly worked on international projects when there wasn’t a pandemic! Prior to this I was in Australia in programming and producing roles, including at the Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Festival Centre, Sydney Festival, and Performance Space. I have also been freelancing for the past 15 years, producing, advising and writing on things artistic and otherwise. My strengths lie in relationship development, strategy and delivery but I consider myself an all-rounder given the size of teams I tend to work in, and the huge output we achieve. I get a lot of joy from watching sport, baking, attempting to grow vegetables and lifting heavy weights repeatedly.”
