About Me

“I work in the community supporting whānau who have lived experience of disability, chronic health, adversity or trauma, to find ways to thrive. Through this mahi, I have had the opportunity to use my lived experience to support others to advocate for themselves and their whānau. I have been active in advocacy work over the last 2 years, working to support rangatahi as a voice mechanism in the community as well as advocating for invisible disabilities and chronic health experiences. In these spaces I use both my personal experience and those voices of the rangatahi and whānau that I work alongside in the community. I hope with this mahi I will be able to further support the communities I work alongside and look at ways to make changes for the future.”
