About Me

“I am a cis gender Lesbian woman of Indian heritage. In my younger years, I was extremely passionate about playing, watching and supporting sport. I was faced with challenges in participation due to a variety of factors including financial barriers, cultural expectations for a female indian and a sporting system that did not cater for or value women in sport. My children are well involved in various sports and I am truly passionate about ensuring equity of opportunity to encourage diversity in sport - in particularly for women.. to this day, i am concerned about unconscious bias in sporting arenas where the system values male sportnover women's. I have a range of valuable lived experience and insights to contribute to this field.”
