About Me
“Currently a Trustee of Foundation North, Director of the New Plymouth Perpetual Investment Fund and a member of the Todd Family Trust investment Committee after 25 years in the actuarial and investment consulting industry, with a mix of client advisory, business management and quality control experience. Since early 2016, my focus has been “giving back” to community. I have since been using my cultural background to assist with integrating new immigrants at my children’s school, became a freelancer providing intercultural training, continued volunteering as an English tutor, and working with my local cricket club to promote cricket to girls and in the local Tamaki area. As a Trustee at Foundation North, I have a clear picture of the challenges faced by New Zealand, and the importance sports play in promoting social cohesion within society. As an active volunteer in sports (cricket and tennis), school and migrant support, I see the challenges faced by the communities as a parent and a participant, and fully appreciate the issues faced by non-profit organisations. Key strengths include: ·My kFinancial and investment knowledge, · Ability to balance the interests of different stakeholders, · Problem solving with pragmatism and common sense, · Ability to assess situations through appropriate respectful questioning and active listening to highlight potential issues and risks, · Ability to consider a situation from different lenses. ”
