About Me
“I have experience running large programmes that require balancing complex and often competing needs. While early in my career I worked mostly in health promotion and large scale behaviour change, more recently I have transitioned into the science and technology sector. A common theme across my career has been supporting people through change and developing leadership skills. I truly enjoy helping enable others to see their potential, a skill that I have been able to transfer over into a corporate environment from my 15 years as a volunteer coach. I’ve been involved in hockey all my life as a player, coach and board member, ranging from development through to performance environments. I have a strong understanding of the hockey landscape and the challenges of balancing a performance programme with grassroots development. I have been a member of hockey communities in Northland, Manawatu/Central, Wellington/Capital and Bay of Plenty and I have seen the breadth of challenges and priorities of these associations. I believe the knowledge I have would transfer well into other sporting codes. ”
