About Me

“As a mother of 4 I am passionate about contributing to a bright future for our next generation. I believe in the potential of people, and strive to ensure that whānau and young people have the knowledge, information, strategies and tools to navigate life’s journey. This needs to be coupled with services that can access and include whānau and community voice into strategy and programme design ensuring fit for purpose services that meet the needs of community. I am passionate about creating environments within communities where whānau and young people are active participants in designing and driving towards their future, not just passive recipients of services offered. I am passionate about contributing to environments that recognise and acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and are committed to ensuring equitable access and outcomes for Māori (and other minority groups). ”
