About Me
“Alongside my executive career, I have developed governance experience through board and directorship roles, including as Treasurer and Governance Board Member of the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA). I am passionate about contributing to organisations that create positive community impact, strong culture and sustainable long-term outcomes. Sport has always been an important part of my life through its different phases — from participation and competition through to the role it now plays in wellbeing, connection and community. As a Type 1 diabetic, I have personally experienced the value that movement, routine and sport can bring following diagnosis, both physically and mentally. That experience has reinforced for me how important access to sport and active communities can be for long-term health and confidence. I also have a nine-year-old daughter, and one of my biggest motivations is helping ensure girls continue to have positive, inclusive and inspiring opportunities in sport. I want to continue sharing the joy, resilience, confidence and sense of belonging that sport can create, both for her and for future generations of young women in New Zealand. I bring a collaborative, pragmatic and people-focused approach to governance, with strengths across financial oversight, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, organisational change and risk management. I am motivated by helping organisations grow sustainably while maintaining strong values, culture and community impact.”
