“Experienced Chair and independent director with more than 30 years’ leadership across national health, housing, social services, education, broadcasting, arts and Pacific organisations. Brings strategic and systems thinking, sound judgement, constructive challenge and a clear grasp of governance and management boundaries. Experienced in transformation, executive leadership, organisational culture, stakeholder relationships, public accountability, financial sustainability and risk. Born and raised in Samoa, I am a Pacific woman of Samoan, German and English ancestry, with family roots in Malie, Lefaga, Vaiala and Sapapali‘i. As Tangata Tiriti - Tangata Moana, I'm committed to honouring Te Ao Māori, upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and advancing equitable outcomes for Māori, Pacific peoples and diverse communities. I was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in 2022 for services to governance. ”
