About Me
“I am a practical governance professional with board, Treasurer, Audit & Risk Committee Chair, and senior delivery leadership experience across not-for-profit, health, community, technology and professional membership organisations. My strongest contribution is in financial governance, audit and risk, internal controls, policy development, and helping boards translate good intentions into clear operating disciplines. I currently serve as Trustee and Audit & Risk Committee Chair for Bowel Cancer New Zealand, and as Board Member, Treasurer and Audit & Risk Committee Chair for ADHD New Zealand. I previously served on the Board of the Project Management Institute of New Zealand. I am particularly interested in organisations that are growing, maturing, or navigating complexity. I bring a calm, practical and evidence-based style to governance, with a focus on financial visibility, proportionate controls, active risk oversight and decisions that strengthen long-term resilience. Professionally, I have more than 30 years’ experience in technology, project and programme leadership across health, telecommunications, grocery/supply chain, aviation and defence environments. This gives me a strong systems-thinking lens and an ability to work through risk, ambiguity, stakeholder complexity and organisational change.”
