“Kate has over 30 years of experience in the legal field as a national award-winning barrister and legal advisor, providing strategic and policy advice to both private and public listed companies, schools and primary industries. She has held numerous governance roles, including Chair, trustee, and director, on various boards and trusts at both national and regional level. She successfully established her own business and founded Mauao Legal Chambers with other specialist civil barristers in 2014. Kate has offered her professional legal and governance expertise and services to numerous NFP organisations and charities, and is passionate about community and service, as well as the sustainable economic success, growth, and innovation of all boards she serves on. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her beagles, sports, reading, and taking overseas adventures.”
