About Me
“I am a passionate New Zealander, focussed on growing and improving the performance of New Zealand businesses in New Zealand and offshore. I co-founded Laybuy with his wife Robyn and our two sons in 2016. In 2020, I led Laybuy’s listing on the Australia Stock Exchange (ASX), which provided the funding necessary to continue Laybuy's rapid growth trajectory across NZ, Australia and the UK. Laybuy was acquired by Klarna in August 2024. Before co-founding Laybuy, I held a number of CEO roles in the retail industry, including Number One Shoes, Warehouse Stationery and EziBuy. I was a Non-Executive Director of the Smiths City Group from 2009 until 2016. Prior to this retail experience, I worked in corporate treasury roles and in banking. I have a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Massey University. I graduated with distinction in 1994.”
