About Me
“My background, prior to moving to the Tairāwhiti, was in consumer goods marketing. I was fortunate enough to work in a variety of industries giving me a depth of skills needed for business. A 'sea change' saw us living in Gisborne with young children and a start up business - dnature diagnostics & research which we still run 13 years later. Over the years in Gisborne, I have been involved in community organisations ranging from a start up charity to feed children lunches (prior to the Government scheme) through to being President of the Chamber of Commerce and a Board Member of Sport Gisborne Tairāwhiti. I love sport, the natural enivronment and firmly believe in giving back. I am not interested in being on a Board because it looks good on my CV more, the question for me, in assessing any role is "do I love what this organisation is doing for others?" and "is my skill set going to be of use?"”
