AgFirst is an Independent Consultancy service focused in the primary industry sector, based throughout NZ. Work involved assisting clients growing their businesses, setting strategic direction and providing assistance to ensure their business met their goals. Played a key role in delivering projects to stakeholders in full and on time. I was involved in the establishment of the Rural Mentoring Programme, now run by NZ Young Farmers. Other work involved a key understanding of financial KPIs, environmental impacts, strategic planning, extension and facilitation to and for a wide range of stakeholders.

Integral in the cohesion of a representative group of sheep farmers, that strived to deliver and support information and technology back out to farmers to improve profits. Part of this was spear-heading projects and delivering them on Council's behalf such as the Hill Country Pasture Renewal Project.

Over a period of 6 years, the industry good organisation, which collects levy from farmers, went through significant change, and several name changes. The organisation is now known as Beef + Lamb NZ. Focus was the development and implementation of education programmes and technology to improve the productivity on farm. Project management and key understanding of research processes was integral to the role, as was developing on-going relationships with stakeholders. An example was the overseeing of six Monitor Farm Community Groups in the Upper North Island.

Local government body where my role was to work with ratepayers in protecting the environment through native reforestation, space planting and/or retirement, riparian management, wetland protection and enhancement, and coast care protection. Key relationships with stakeholders was integral in obtaining consensus to achieve outcomes. Was instrumental in developing and lodging the first Esplanade Strip agreement under the RMA in New Zealand.
