About Me

“Kia Ora, I'm Jo! I absolutely love sport and want to contribute to Boards long-term, sharing my unique perspectives. I have had some great insights into governance, largely from the management side - meeting with Board members, reporting to Audit & Risk committees, and through completing a Corporate Governance module as part of my MBA. I am keen to put these experiences and learnings into practice and further develop my governance skills. For more than a decade I have been working in the Energy sector, both in IT and as part of the business, transforming and also building a retail electricity business from the ground up. I am a Mum of two kids with a wide range of sporting interests that I support however possible such as coaching and I still enjoy playing different codes. Sport has truly shaped the person I am today. It has translated into the work environment through my ability to lead others, build high performing teams and deliver significant change. I want to broaden this experience into governance and be part of a sports Board that is setting out to create a successful future for an organisation. ”
