Te Whare Hukahuka

April 2018 - August 2018 (4 months)

I have recently completed a 4 month governance development programme for emerging Māori leaders. The programme aims to help build a greater understanding of the various components of good governance including Roles & Responsibilities, Risk Management, Strategic Thinking, Measuring & Monitoring Progress and Effective Communication. It exposed me to useful tools that boards can adopt to make governance more effective I also learned a range of strategy planning principles, key questions to ask, and lessons about how to utilise kaupapa Maori as a strategic advantage in an organisation.
